Recently, I received a note from my neighbor that felt more than a little passive-aggressive. It was tucked inside my mailbox, informing me that according to HOA rules, it’s too early to start decorating for Christmas. While I understand the importance of community guidelines, I can’t help but feel that the holiday season should be a time of joy and togetherness, not a source of tension among neighbors.
